APSCVIR 2025 - INTEGRATING AND BUILDING THE
FUTURE
The 19th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and
Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR 2025) was successfully convened in Da Nang, Vietnam, from April 24
to
27, 2025. Over the course of three days, this conference provided a vital platform for experts to
convene, exchange advanced scientific knowledge, and foster professional collaboration, thereby
leaving
a significant impact not only within the regional interventional radiology community but also across
the
international medical field.
APSCVIR 2025, held at the Ariyana International Convention Center in Da Nang, far from
being
just a technical conference, it stood as a deeply meaningful and inspiring gathering. It brought
together experts, physicians, researchers, and healthcare industry leaders from across multiple
countries, providing a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, showcasing advanced technologies,
and
shaping strategic directions toward the sustainable development of public health.
Conference highlights
Within the conference framework, the highest distinction, the APSCVIR Gold Medal, in
acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of interventional radiology
across
the Asia-Pacific region. Professor Pham Minh Thong, a pioneer who laid the foundation and led the
development of interventional radiology in Vietnam, and Professor Jin Wook Chung of South Korea, a
leading figure in vascular imaging and intra-arterial therapies at Seoul National University, were
both
awarded this esteemed honor as a tribute to their long-standing dedication, visionary leadership,
and
international impact in the field.
The APSCVIR Gold Medal serves not only as a well-deserved accolade for the remarkable
achievements of Professor Pham Minh Thong and
Professor Jin Wook Chung, but also as a powerful
testament
to their tireless efforts in fostering international collaboration, promoting knowledge exchange,
and
strengthening the professional community in the Asia-Pacific region. Both professors are emblematic
of
the enduring link between regional and global medical expertise. Their steadfast and quiet
dedication
over the decades has significantly elevated the stature of interventional radiology in the region,
while
also forging meaningful bridges between Vietnam, South Korea, and the global medical community.
As part of the scientific program, the sessions on scientific presentations, clinical
case
discussions, applied research, and the dedicated poster exhibition area provided delegates with a
comprehensive overview of significant advances in the field of interventional radiology. Numerous
new
research findings, advanced techniques, and valuable clinical experiences were actively shared and
discussed.
In particular, the in-depth clinical workshops and high-level academic lectures focused
on
key areas such as neurointervention, pediatric intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, as
well
as novel techniques in liver tumor treatment and stroke intervention, all of which received strong
interest and contributed greatly to enhancing the professional knowledge of participants. The
Organizing
Committee firmly believes that the scientific program at APSCVIR 2025 has successfully created a
dynamic
academic forum, fostering international collaboration and promoting sustainable development in the
field
of interventional radiology across the region. We trust that the insights and experiences gained at
APSCVIR 2025 will be treasured by all participants.
We look forward to reconvening next year in Suzhou, China, to continue advancing knowledge exchange and the development of the interventional radiology community.
