I am Dr. PiYi Chang, a Consultant Radiologist specializing in Interventional Oncology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan, with over 20 years of experience in the field. During my training in Taichung and Miami, I developed a strong interest in CT and MR imaging diagnosis and interventional radiology. Over the past 15 years, I have been a prominent speaker at various international conferences, sharing my research and insights on embolic treatments for liver tumor.
I began my clinical, operative, and research work in HCC in Taichung in 2002. In 2010, I advanced to Assistant Professor at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Since returning to Taiwan in 2011, I have put my extensive experience into practice and now I am the President of the Taiwan Society of Interventional Radiology. As a visiting lecturer on embolic techniques for HCC, I train professionals and develop relevant services across Taiwan.
I completed a PhD in Hospital Management in 2023, focusing my research on transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) of both conventional TACE (cTACE) and drug-eluting bead TACE (deTACE) in HCC treatment. My career is dedicated to improving imaging interpretation and advancing multi-modal intra-arterial therapies for liver tumors, with the goal of enhancing patient outcomes through innovative interventional techniques.
