Dr. Karim Abd El Tawab is an Interventional Radiology Consultant at Ain Shams University Hospitals, Cairo, one of the largest Interventional Radiology institutes in Egypt and the Arab world. With 13 years of experience, he specializes in vascular and non-vascular interventions, particularly interventional oncology, HCC management, GIT and biliary interventions, and uterine artery embolization for fibroids.

He pioneered prostatic artery embolization in Egypt and the Middle East (2012), hemorrhoidal embolization (2015), and bariatric embolization (2016). As a leader in emergency embolization, he helped establish a 24/7 service at Ain Shams University Hospitals.

Dr. Abd El Tawab is a board member of the Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society, head of its Marketing and Media committee, and founding member of the Egyptian Society of Interventional Radiology. He also leads the #IAM_PAIRS IR awareness program and is an active member of SIR and CIRSE. A distinguished speaker, he has delivered over 140 lectures at international and local conferences, contributing significantly to the advancement of interventional radiology in the region.
