Dr. Jack W. Jennings, an associate professor of radiology, has been named chief of musculoskeletal radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR), Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has been with the institution since 2003, completing his residency, fellowship, and later joining the faculty.
Jennings, also the director of musculoskeletal and spine intervention procedures, has significantly advanced the field of musculoskeletal interventions at MIR. In 2014, he established a multidisciplinary working group on metastatic spine disease, leading to published treatment recommendations.
He has presented at major radiology conferences, including the World Conference of Interventional Oncology and the Society of Interventional Radiology. He also serves on committees for the American Society of Spine Radiology. As principal investigator, he leads national studies on spine tumor ablation and bone cryoablation.
Jennings treats patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Siteman Cancer Center. He earned his MD and PhD in anatomy from the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
