Dr. Hiroshi Kiyosue, born on September 22, 1963, in Osaka, Japan, is a distinguished professor at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Analysis, Faculty of Life Science, Kumamoto University. After completing his medical training at Oita University Faculty of Medicine (1989–1993), he pursued advanced training in neuroendovascular surgery and radiology, holding various clinical and academic positions, including Associate Professor at Oita University Hospital (2008–2022). Since 2022, he has served as a professor at Kumamoto University.

Dr. Kiyosue has contributed significantly to interventional radiology and neuroradiology. He is a board member of several prestigious societies, including the Japanese Society of Neuroendovascular Therapy, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Interventional Radiology (2015–2024) and Neuroendovascular Therapy (2022–present). His academic work includes over 130 publications, focusing on spinal AV shunts, cavernous sinus dural AVFs, and advanced imaging techniques.

Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Kiyosue has received numerous accolades, including the Cum Laude Award from RSNA and Best Poster Award from WFINT. His work has shaped advancements in diagnostic imaging and interventional techniques, making him a prominent figure in the field.
